The Order Portal Main Menu provides one centralized access to the functions within Order Portal and alsothe other Portals included in the Web Business Suite: Information Portal, Sales Portal, and Data Migration Portal.

Additionally, if you are using a Forum or a Blog, Access to these applications would occur from this Menu.

The standard Option order is as follows, but obviously Menu Option order can be changed:

For the Round Trip Email Functions, we would be selecting the Administrative Portal Option.

Informational Portal for Order Portal is the first option.  This accesses the real time reporting for the key metrics of the Order portal websites and information from other Portals and Data Bases.

Custom Queries is the second Option.  These are standard SQL queries which are stored as menu options in this function.  Many one time or seldom used information requests are handled in this manner greatly reducing the time and cost of preparing permanent reporting formats.  Additionally, data which is regularly exported or requires additional analysis is often best handled by queries instead of reports. Custom queries allows you to easily create your own queries over the order portal data base.

Order Portal is the third Option.  This Option accesses the live Web Sites.  Often a second Option is added for Test Sites.

Sales Portal is the fourth Option.  This accesses Sales Portal which is a Cross Channel Lead and Prospect Management System as well as a CRM for existing Customers. Sales Portal contains its own Information Portal for real time reporting over the sales portal data base.

Administrative Portal is the Fifth Option.  This is an internal administrative area for Order Portal and controls the key areas of the web site development and maintenance, and the web transactions, as well as the email round trip and list controls.

Data Migration Portal (DMP) is the sixth Option.  This accesses the background Portal which handles the messaging, data transfer, data transformation between the Portals from simple CSV files to complex EDI transactions.  It also handles import/export functions to customer, vendor or legacy systems.  Makes life much easier when integration of systems is required. DMP handles the communication between Order Portal and Sales Portal for the email roundtrip.

Report Bugs is the seventh Option.  This is used to access Bugzilla.  Though intended for users to report and check status of Bugs, it is rarely used in that capacity.  User generally just tell you there is an issue so a technical support person generally does the input and users generally never check statuses themselves in Bugzilla or Information Portal but Bugzilla remains the source of all statuses regardless of final reporting.  Additionally, we have been using Bugzilla for also capturing all new user requests (as opposed to just Bugs).  This menu option gives a single point of reference for all known bugs and user requests for input into the maintenance and development cycles.

Logout is the final Option.  Rarely used but allows a user  to switch their user profile if they have multiple profiles usually a production one and an administrative one.
