Increasingly, we are adding help text throughout Sales Portal. In this instance when you are adding a territory and you can remember all of the Options, you click the +Show Help button and the field definitional impacts are displayed.
In this case, you can territories control who gets email notifications so your territory hierarchy can be important.
And, if there is a pool of prospects that a community of salesman work on then the check out and return times are important as well as the sequence in which the pool prospects are dispayed, etc. in more sophisticated sales senarios. If you don't need these functions...don't use them and they will not have any impact on your results.
